Alright, my 95 blew the transmission, and I had a shop building me a rebuilt one with better parts from a core I had in the barn. Well a guy offered me about $600 more than I payed for the rebuilt trans so I let it go to pay for surgery for my dog. Now I have the truck, which has a tranny it it thats busted, and I want to get rid of the truck since I can't justify having 2, and I still need some cash for Kash (the dogs name). Do I: 1. Sell the truck without a workings trans cheap; 2. Put in a stock trans and sell it as book, or 3. Put in a HD Trans and sell it for even more at an expense?

Thing is I really need to get rid of it for the cash, but on the other hand I don't want to get thoroughly hosed. Anyone got advise?

 

Sorry to hear about your dog dude.....been there. It's hard not to spend the $$ on them when they need it.
I think your best option is to get an operable trans and sell the truk running. You can get a good used trans for under $1k, or even get it rebuilt for that much.
Either way, it will net you much more $ than selling the truck not running.
I wouldn't build a trans up if you're just going to get rid of the truck, since it's common knowledge that one rarely gets their $ back out of modifications.
