What bed liner and where to get?
I'm going to coat the bottom portion of my trucks exterior with bed liner and possibly redo the liner in my bed. What brand should I get, how much do you think I will need and where is the cheapest place to get it? Thank you.
Try a Superliner place. The cheapest liner I've found. I've got Rhino on my truck. It's alright, but I like the Line-X liner better. Line-X is too expensive in my book for rockers though.
Believe it or not,
I've had GREAT luck with the brush on stuff..
It comes in a gallon can and you use a paint brush and roller to apply it in coats.
Dang good tuff stuff and you can put it on thicker where you want.
Comes in black, white, grey and red I think...

I just got a spray in liner last week after closely comparing a number of brands. It is surprising how much difference there really is!
If you compare the many brands you will notice that some are NOT uniform and seem blotchier (for lack of a better word) and others are VERY uniform in appearance (almost like a crinkle paint finish). The liners that are blotchy are also MUCH softer than the other.
LineX is very uniform and durable and Rhino is soft enough to dig your finger nail into!
After looking for a few weeks I decided that I needed durability and I wanted the best looking liner so I went with LineX.

I had Full Metal Jacket in my last truck and liked it better than the Rhino in my current rig. The Rhino dulls out and the FMJ was "grabbier". Its all the same material, just applied a little differently. Make sure its 'Lifetime'. The FMJ guy promised to recoat any gouges for the life of the truck, as long as I owned it. I think Rhino has this warranty too.

If you want your liner to look good, get a line-x. Seems to be the choice of most. I have Rhino and have not noticed this "soft enough to dig your thumbnail into" claim. Mine looked good for about 6 months then it dulled out.
I've thrown a 1/2 cord of firewood, a motor, misc. other things and no damage. It does what it was intended to do, protect my bed and keep items from sliding around.
Now I will don my flamesuit and wait............

Full Metal Jacket is what I now have and several others I know also have it. I like it better than Line X or Rhino it has a better surface and seems to hold up better than the others at this time.
i have rhino, well, everywhere on my truck. I mostly went with it because the owner of the shop was the most willing to work with my unique situation. I will as this, i've sprayed for a rhino shop in the past and it can be put on perfectly uniform, if the person spraying knows what they are doing, don't let the new guy spray your truck
. What people said about rhino being softer is true but you shouldn't be able to dig your finger into it. With the softer material you get less sliding in the bed than something like line-x, but with a sharp object and some force it's possible to puncture it (like using a pitch fork to get mulch out) if it's thick enough the fork will just stick in and no problems. When i worked at the rhino shop i shot the mix into a latex glove so i have a rhino hand, i swear you can try all day to tear the pinky off and you won't be able to do it!
as far as rhino vs line-x the major difference is that line-x is generally harder but things will slide around more, and rhino is softer but provides more anit-skid. Choose what is best for you. as far as fading goes you can get "rhino shine" or thier newer UV protection but you loose some of the anti-skid quality with that. line-x fades as well but i'm sure they have a product to keep it looking good as well.
sorry it's so long i'll keep quiet now

Heres a link to a poll I did a while back. The results are pretty easy to see.

Line-X is superior.
