So whatcom county doesn't have them yet? Because i've never had to get any emmision's testing since i've been driving.

I live in Hoodsport(Hoods canal) and no testing here. It's one reason I moved here from Clark Co. And that snap test is putting your engine on the verge of self distruction. IMHO

yes, i agree that the snap test should be outlawed! i don't care what the testing monkey's say, it CAN NOT be good for the motor. the first time i went through it i was sooo mad i almost went postal.
by the next time i go through it i will have figured out a way to keep my trhottle pedal from going to max. what we need is for one of the chip companies to make a chip that goes on the tps and lowers the max throttle.
i may just put a block of wood under the carpet behind the pedal to keep it form reving to the redline. when they tell me i ain't reving enough i will say "i'm givin' it all's she got capn'.

Thanks for the idea of "detuning" with the wood block (or something else) under the skinny pedal; I'll use that for my next go-round with emissions.

Dude, its a cummins diesel, you wont hurt it a bit by holding it at WOT.
