Two post lift manufacturer?

I have decided on two post lift for my truck, now which MF (manufacturer)

Model: XPR10 BendPak XPR-10 Two Post Lift
10,000 Lb. Capacity / Clearfloor / Dual-Width

Rotary:
SPOA10X
10,000 lbs. capacity
asymmetrical lift

Any thoughts on these two?The Rotary model is coming in $1000 more.

If you put your truck up on a two post life make very sure you have the weight balanced front to back. I saw a truck fall off of one at my neighbor's shop. It pulled the bolts right out of the concrete.

Did he/she lift it up a little and shake it to see that it was balanced?

No negative issues with the Rotary. That is what I use most of the time. I check it by wobbling the truck when it is barely off the ground. Put a tall jack under the hitch for more stability, just don;t forget to take it out prior to lowering the truck.

I am leaning towards the Bendpak as it is $1000 less expensive, they have a web page showing different comparisons making out the Bendpak as being well built anyone have experience with both?

Both have been in the business a long time, i have an older 10k rotary and a friend has one a few years newer neither one of us has had any problems with them.

Look them over real well, for 1k their has to be something different between them.

I went a total different route...I didn't have room for a 2 or 4 post...And I only needed it for my collector cars..I had to go with a sissior hoist, which is not good for you...

Remember one thing when buying your 2 post hoist...Really inquire that it is safety certified to at least North America standards...and even better to Canadian safety standard...This is one thing we haven't discussed here..

There are some cheap chinese knock off hoists...that are unsafe and are not certified...If you do a search on the internet of failed hoists, you will see some of these un-certified hoists and how they failed during testing...They where under-rated..

Just a heads up....

BendPak...is a very good product...I think they have a re-seller in Ontario...

Basically looking at the Bendpak and Rotary models for that very reason. My truck is 21' close to 8000 lbs so safety first eh?

Yep...Your on the right track...I researched those to companies for safety standards...And they are good..

A lot of these products are still built in China..But some US firms have stricter quality controls..

Rotary seems to be considered a top quality hoist, and Bend Pak is a very decent product too. I have used both brands in various shops for years in the past and hadn't seen any problems or breakdowns, and that's with 8 hour/day use (and occasional overloading I'm sure). I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Granted, these were professional grade equipment. Not sure if they make a "consumer/homeowner grade" or not or what the difference in quality may be if they do offer such models.

I pretty sure that I will go with the Bendpak BendPak XPR-10 Two Post Lift
10,000 Lb. Capacity / Clearfloor / Dual-Width or the BendPak XPR-10A

I don't really know which to go with, the symmetrical or Asymmetrical with the 30 degree twist on the post. Any thoughts there?
