Turbos

I was looking around at different turbo possibilities and wondering what turbos would be a good choice. I am looking into an HX35/16. Is there a similar, but slightly more durable schwitzer model that would work in a similar application? Also, would a Schwitzer S2EL work? Thanks for the help.

Is this for your 92? If so, what have you done (or plan to do) as far as fueling mods?

Yeah, its for the '92. I plan on just doing some pump mods, 3200 RPM spring, and maybe PODs (havent decided if i want to spend the extra money). I havent done gauges or an intake yet, but I plan on getting them out of the way soon. Im thinking of finding an HX35 and sending it to HTT (thats probably what I will end up doing), but I wanted to know if there was anything that would meet my goal (300RWHP or so) that was more durable/reliable than a holset. I have never had problems with a holset, but Ive heard schwitzers are more durable.

An HX-35 that's been massaged by HTT will easily support 300rwhp. At the 300rwhp level, you shouldn't have any problems with durability.

If all you want is 300 RWHP, I would skip the 16cm turbine housing and go to a 14cm.....you will appreciate the faster spool up and you don't need the lower drive pressure at 300 hp that the 16cm housing offers........Many guys here easily make 300 RWHP with the 12cm housing without problems.
