Truck Value

Hey everyone, looks like I'll be buying my first diesel ever soon, looking at a 2003 crew cab lwb 4x4 ctd. The truck has 27,000 miles on it appears to be in good shape. The guy wants $28,900 for it, what do ya'll think? too much or can i do better than that? It Is a h/o by the way, Thanks for any comments

To me that seems high for a 2003. For only a few thousand dollars more you can get a new '06 if you're willing to travel.

Depending on what other options this truck has, I'd expect the asking price to be closer to $26k. Don't get me wrong, the 2003's are really great trucks, but they still have some depreciation that has to be considered.

For another 1500 dollars you could have a brand new 06 at my dealer.
