Tonight... how much do you love your truck thread... ;)
Instead of cranking my truck that has been sitting since 3 this afternoon in ~30 weather, I pushed it- by myself, up hill, on dirt, with a full tank of fuel, (in the snow both ways ) so I could shut my shed door. (I had pulled it close to do some maintenance...)

Holy cow mark. I thought I was the only idio* a few weeks ago I parked in the automotive parking lot At walmart and I was taking two spaces and my lady asked me to park correctly and I had already shut her down. I got out and pushed her around, when a guy stopped behind me got out of his truck and asked if I needed help and what the problem was...I was speechless.

I love my truck so much......
If its 30 degrees or colder (been -30 lately), I not only keep my truck plugged in, not only have an oil pan heater going, I run a 75,000 BTU heater under the truck in the unheater garage for 2 hours before I even start it. Crazy, I know. If I need to make a short drive, she goes well out onto the highway to full 200 degree operating before she is shut down or parked. The truck has never had engine oil longer than 2500 miles. (Waistful and just plain stupid, I know) .......all the free Valvoline P. Blue I want from work and the used goes to good use... oil burner for work shop, so not that waistfull. Never missed a tank that wasn't treated with Stanadyne or Power Service. Try to tow a heavy load once every 2 months to keep injectors tips nice and shinny. Change the 2 Micron MK2 Filter every 2k miles, and the OEM Baldwin every 5k miles. This list goes on. I try to tell myself to treat the thing like a truck and to stop with this OCD I have, but I just can't get myself to do it. I know I have a serious problem here.

After reading this thread, I apparently hate my truck. 30F is a nice day around here. -20 on the other hand, I will avoid starting it for a short run. But I'm also not pushing it anywhere.

I must hate mine.... i dont plug it in , i couldnt be bothered pushing it.... ever.... I used fuel conditioner when i remember to, i have not changed the oil in a year and a half ( 5-40 premium blue, its good for a long time) Sometimes when i feel ambitious and have run out of beer, ill climb under with a grease gun and grease most of the fittings. It makes lots of short trips , doesn't always get up to operating temp, and i dont think i have ever let it idle to cool down. It runs like a top, and starts right up every time

I love mine so much that I treat it like the beast it is...
it stays outside 365 days a year, getting hot, cold, wet, snowy, sappy, & beat up with sticks that fall from the tree...
I carry heavy, dirty, hard things that make it dirty, and frequently put dents in it... I have dents in the tailgate, back of the cab and both rear quarter panels.. I have scrapes in the line-x as well.
I lovingly pull a 9500lb travel trailer about 2000-3000 miles a year, which makes it very happy. I also drive with my exhaust brake on all the time, so the service brakes are happy as well..
I once was making it happy driving on forest roads in northern MI and lovingly ran it into a tree and almost loved it too much...
I clean it about 6 times a year and vacuum it out once or twice a year...
I used to be a "replace the vehicle when it needs new tires" kind of guy, but this truck has me in a long term relationship :-)
