I think the funniest thing is every time they hit the horn, the camera jumps.

reaction from folks indicates it's really LOUD!

wonder if DB is high enough to cause damage to people's ear drums?
that would not be good...

"Train Air Horns, A wide selection of extremely loud horns suited for many applications." http://www.hornblasters.com/products/

would not want to get sued for damaging folks ears!

This site has a set at 152 db; http://www.florapse.com/Merchant2/me...ct_Code=WOL837

I am not positive but I seem to recall reading that 105 db is loud enough to cause permanent hearing damage. It may not do it to the people around you but it is cumulative. I believe 105 db is about like a .22 rimfire, shoot enough of them and you will walk around saying "huh?".

Additionally I know some states are pretty strict on use of your vehicle horn and if you ticked someone off they would call the police. You would definitely have to use them with discretion.

One of those hornblasters videos (I don't know if it is the one linked on this thread as I didn't watch it through) has a couple of punks driving around blasting his horn...blah blah blah. It's mildly amuzing and I'm glad I didn't have access to it when I was younger.

HOWEVER, at the end of one of the vidoes a cop pulls them over for their tint being too dark. The cops proceeds to test the tint (it fails) then he goes to the back of the car and checks his signals and asks the driver to actuate the proper signals. Then the cop goes to the front of the car to look at the front turn signals and the crazy kid hit the HORN! I gotta say that took a pair that CLANK! That was so frikken funny. I think that kid has a long tough life ahead of him...but I gotta give it to him, that took stones! Too funny! That cop almost wet himself I don't care who you are....that's just plain funny Hell I almost wet myself laughing at that one!

HAAHAHHAHA! That is so wrong on so many levels. Park it in a parking lot (a busy parking lot) and stand up by the store entrance and scare the stool out of people walking back with their food stuffs. Then when they go over to key your truck you blast them again! LOL! That's one helluva way to find your truck if you lose it in the mall parking lot too

This is a good reason why air horns are illegal on vehicles other than big rigs with responsible drivers. These juveniles should have their tickets pulled. This is disgraceful. It could possible cause someone to injure themselves or worse.

These guys should be ashamed of them selves.
