Super Cummins

Was reading 4 - Wheeler mag and showed a Chevy
Suburban running a Cummins and entire drivetrain form an older Dodge Dually . Nice looking install had twin turbo's and specs said 1200 hp and 3500 ft /lbs of torque !! I want one of those !!! Claims it was a 24 valve but it looks like an old 12 valver , anyone else see that article ?? Amazing what these beasts are capable of ............. from a lil ole 6 banger !!

I read it. His front seat was from the same donor truck. How much of a Chevy is it when the engine+trans+transfer case+ front and rear axles are from a Dodge.

But 1200 horse? 3500 ft/lbs torque???? That sounds a little far fetched.

I think he got a little carried away while "exaggerating for effect".

I hear ya about the numbers being a bit farfetched . Gotta keep in mind it is a Chevy guy not used to a REAL diesel engine !!!! Just shows the other guys what a p.o.s. they wasted ALOT of $$$$$ on !!!

He was in that mag (4wheeler) last for the Top Truck and it siad he had 650HP and 1,200 lbs of torque.

He didn't make it last year but he was in top truck this year.

Also now is that a 2500 frame or a 1500? Thats my question.

We're talking about 1,022 rear-wheel horsepower and 3,400 lb-ft of torque-those the numbers Johnson claims this beast is capable of.
Yep farfetched is right...

But let me get this right, it says its a 24 valve truck but fed by a 12 valve pump?

I saw that rig on Four Wheeler TV. I think he broke something in every event. I have never seen 1000 horse power in action in that type of application but if I had to guess I would say that ain't no 1000 hp. It did look like it ran pretty good, but no 1000 hp.

I should have said "Right click and Save As"

They seem to be working for me.

I can diagnose a 24V pretty good, but this computer stuff kicks my butt.

I know I can download the links. They seem to be a working link,, but I'm not sure if your computer is setup properly.

My computer works great, but my g/f's computer won't download anything.

Sorry I can't help.
