Try that on the James river and the truck will be lost in the muck.

 

Dang, i'd like to see the engineering in that one , what about all the breathers , keeping water out of where it doesn;t belong , etc.

It's a great demo on another reason diesels are superior to gassers. How hard it would be to get a gas engine to run under water like that and be reliable?

 

I get a kick out of the Army training manuals and videos.

That was a neat video, but the reality of it all is that only something the size of our govt could afford to do the maintenance on that thing to keep it running reliably.

Even simple things like marine grade starters and alternators are not designed to run submerged. The Mermaids were cool.
