I shift her pretty well. I'm in need of a fluid change though, as its getting a bit harder to shift as smoothly as she used to.

I might be considered bad at it, seeing as mine rarely gets shifted before the 'red zone' once it's warmed up. I like the power and sound of that thing, and it pulls right to about 3400 very easy. Running through town I usually float the gears, take it easy on the go pedal, and try to save some fuel. I wish it was a 6 speed.

Very good,,, The Smarty makes a big difference ( Fuel saver sw )
I can match engine speed to gear speed ( Throttle more responsive)
Like a sports car.
Not as good shifting on other settings, terrible on stock setting.
On the stock program the Computer has a mind of it's own, won't let me 'feel' rpm's...

I was surprised when I raced a 6.0L Ferd that I didn't grind any gears! I was told that the Getrag is no speed shifter. I have 2 witnesses that will confirm that with me

I also shifted a lot without the clutch pedal a little slower but it worked.

I am a smoth operator, I like this 6-speed trans I first I did grind a few not use to the short span between the gears. Not quite like the old 4-speeds trans. that is what i learned how to drive. I bought an auto a 97 dodge sold it after ten years, now have this 07 dodge, great truck to say the least glad I waited for all the upgrades that dodge made to the trucks. also glad to be back with an manual trans.

Most of the time pretty smooth on the 5spd unless running threw them hard and sometimes miss 5th. Now going from my 5spd to pops 6spd in his 03 diffrent story takes a few mins to get use to it again and never find reverse since im use to the 5spd I really stay confused when going from our dump truck which is a international 6 spd to mine then back to his 03.

I find it funny how everyone finds it much harder to shift quickly. My truck is much smoother if I throw a real quick shift but I think that is due to the amount of driveline slack that I have. When cold, I either have to double clutch or shift clutchless going into 2nd but it has been that way ever since I bought the truck.

It is really entertaining letting someone else drive it for the first time and watching their face as the revs hit redline almost immediately.
