Something is up with the 6.4's because Ford doesn't offer them on the 2008 E-series even though they realize that is going to cause them to lose the ambulance and motor home market . The flame issue was on what 2 or 3 vehicles?? The company who makes the injectors had a recall, but some of them got into engines.. I'm glad They re called all those vehicles so that there would be no further problems.. Either fords doing a really good job selling the trucks or people just like fords. I see way to many 08's around here. I haven't seen one 6.7 yet..

I never said they replaced all the injectors. I'm not saying the engines are perfect. I just think it's way to soon to be bashing the 6.4 I will wait a year or so and then come back and comment on the 6.4 , Im leaving this thread before it gets worse.

To get to the topic on hand. I have really only seen pics, and maybe 1 other until today. Went into the Chicago-land area (Northern, Fox Lake.) to visit my Grandpa, and saw about a dozen. All of them looked ugly but none of them had the diesel.

I like the new Fords (I've owned a bunch and actually worked in Ford and Lincoln-Mercury deales years ago). I just don't think they have got the "right" engine. The old 7.3's were great. It is true the cab is coming off to do engine work...no shade tree mechanic work on the new ones.

Contractor here at work has one, after his 6.0 dropped an oil pump. He loves the full crew cab of the Fords, as he brings all of his guys to the jobsite in the truck. The 6.4 is super quiet, though I haven't been around any 3rd gen CR's or new 6.7's to compare. I personally do not care for the headlights and front grill. The rest of the truck is ok.

i like the truck sat in a king ranch F450 at the local auto show this year and it was the best dressed truck....but i dont like any of the new trucks with all the new emmissions stuff on them...weird looking tail pipes...poor mpg...and huge price tags....i do kinda like the tailgate step...it is a pain getting into the box if u have the tail gate down....i also dont care much for the gearing in these trucks...sounds like 4.10 gears are the wimpy gears for grocery getters now and u "must" have 4.88...bring back an option for 3.5 gears...
