single stack

I'm thinking of doing the single stack thing on my truck. I really don't want to buy a kit and I don't want to cut a whole in the middle of the bed to do it. Will a 4" pipe squeeze between the bed and the frame rail, and what special parts may I need to accomplish this? I just want (1) 4" stack. I'm not looking for any performance gain, just the look.

first off get a 5 not a 4. ill try to get pics of mine i just got it on. but if you run it close to the frame rail it will be right beside the sliding window. so not on the edge but not centered. I think it looks good there. and that way if you ever want duals you don't have to cut a nother hole.

I would go up in the corner, and yes a 4" pipe will fit over the frame rail... I think a 5" will fit, but it'll take some tight bends

I was hoping to keep it tight in the corner so the bed space used is minimal. What about the use of flex pipe vs elbows? Any plus's or minus's??
