My Freightliner also has the throwaway hubs like the Dodge. I hate that but Meritor thinks it is the way to go. So I have a loose bearing and it has to be fixed. Dreading the purchase I go to Freightliner. The complete hub kit cost me $282.00. Includes the new hub, lug bolts, bearings, seals, o rings, sealer for the installation, everything needed. And this is on a class 8 truck, real heavy to lift the box.
Dodge wants as much for a Dodge hub. Talk about markup....

I think regular old manual hubs from Spicer or Warner would work on your Dodge. That's what I will eventually go to. I like to be able to use low range on hard pavement at times (hubs unlocked). Alot less expensive and I think alot more reliable.
