Exclamation Question about an older mercedes-benz diesel

Hey y'all,
I friend of mine just asked me to identify the problem with his mid-90s mercedes benz sedan. Its a diesel, maybe a tiny inline 6....the fuel pump looks just like a p-pump...anywho....fuel was squirting out of the top of one of the injectors, right where the injector line connects to the injector. The line itself was still in place but very loose. I told him it was a cracked injector line at best, and a clogged injector at worst. Am I right? What else might it be?

yep, they are good for cracking lines.the problem is the little plastic holders that hold the lines.they either break from old age or if you ever have to remove a line they shatter just looking at em.have him order the exact line it needs.they will ask which cyl it's for.and while he's there order up all new holders for the lines.my 86 300sdl has 6 of em.3 of one style and 3 of another.

Catmandoo is right, I worked on lots of 300's and line cracking and ferrels are common. Just replace and keep on driving. I am putting one of these engines in a Jeep Wrangler just for edit and giggles.
