? on price

I went to the Chevrolet page and priced a Chevy 2500HD LS with Duramax and manual trannyn and then did the same for the Dodge(2500 Cummins and ST with Auto) and the Chevy is cheaper. do you think the Dodge dealer would match the Chevy price?

dodge hasthe new prices on ther web site for the Employee pricing Plus, but the discount is not as much as the GMS for the Chevy is.

what gives?

Sorry, the prices are as follows.

Dodge:
2500 Quadcab, Cummins, 48RE, SLT = $34,402

Chevy:
2500HD Crewcab, Duramax, Allison, LS = $33,605

not a huge difference but $1200 is $1200 in my book.

anyways, think they would match price?

i priced out a dodge verses a chevy a week or so ago, the dodge was 600 more and the chevy had a few more bells and whistles. but now that dodge is jumping on the bad wagon, i just asked for a price on a 4x4 6 speed dually 4 door loaded up. i will report back what shows up.

Not to start this kind of comparison, but I have to say the Cummins engine itself is worth the xtra $797 or more over the DMax.

you guys are right the difference is 7XX$ not 1200, my fuzzy math. Still A dodge truck is usually cheaper than a chevy or ford and with the "employee discount" I would think it would be cheaper than the chevy by a decent amount not the same or slightly higher.

the cummins will be running when the chevy has gone bellie up, but i sure do like the 4 door chevy cabs. and to tell the truth the duramax is a pretty stought motor. i would drive one, and it would not bother me a bit. if i could find a six speed around i might even buy one. but they are hard to come buy in these parts. seems everyone wants a auto. but i need to reel in my thinking, i really don't want to pay 30k plus for any truck.

You know how a sale goes. They jack the price up 15% then give you a 5 % discount.
