Just got this off of my Autotech Daily newsletter.

"............the 6.0-liter Power Stroke V-8 diesel used in
Ford's F-Series Super Duty pickups and full-size Excursion SUV. That engine has just
been recalled to replace a defective injection control pressure sensor and recalibrate the
fuel injection and powertrain control modules."

 

It was in today's (April 15) Autotech Daily, but it didn't indicate when the recall was announced other than the words "just been recalled".

BTW, it also said that they're going to drop the 5.7 Hemi into the Chrysler 300 and Concorde. Sounds like a good start to a new cop car. Seems like the Crown Vic's got that cornered right now.

 

You got that right Comm. The crown vics are the only full sized rear wheel drives available that Law Enforcement are using for the most part.

Yes the 5.7 hemi will be available in the new rear drive 300. Man that thing would beat the tar out of an old crown Icc.

 

Read a report where the cops tested an Intrepid. They liked the power but the rear doors and the overhang make stuffing prisoner in the back seat a bit of a chore. If that is the only complaint.... : Give 'em another billy club
