Power,Good days/bad days
Maybe Ive lost my mind completly, but it sure seems like some days my truck smokes white and black and dont go for diddly. Then Ill park it for a week, drive it again and its acts fine and runs smokeless and strong. Overall it seems like Im down on fuel economy 2-3 mpg?? any ideas on a cause. Been doing this since I got it a year ago. Its a 95 4x4 5 spd. new filters/Overflow valve etc. Is there that much difference in fuel quality? its particulary bad it seems with the tank of Mobil diesel in it currently.

If I forget fuel additive, I know after the first 1/4 tank. Weather has some to do with it, 'specially us non I/C guys. She runs like heck on these cool fall mornings, but on a hot, humid afternoon? Forget it. It's all good though, 'cause I know trucks, after all, are people too!

G1625s is right, right now on these nice crips cool fall morings with the outside temp being between 40 and 50 degrees, the truck runs absolutley perfect, all the power is there and then some, but when it is hot and humid she seems to run like a totally different rig, she goes, but nothing like on these mornings. I believe there is good and bad fuel, i only fill up at stations that i know sell alot of diesel.

I will say The only time I used Stanadyne instead of the Wally world stuff?? diesel klean? The stanadyne seemed to make a significant improvement in performance. It even sounded different.
