Re:The pot calling....

I especial like the comment from TurboKid.

“BTW- don't mean to get technical, but I can list half a dozen ways that my isuzu is mechanically better than the cummins... Don't get me wrong, the cummins is a good engine, but it has been cheapened in order to produce so many of them...”

Now I’m curious just where Cummins cheapened the 5.9 to produce so many of them, maybe he can explain it to use (he posts on the TDR as DT). I’m curious if he is running 400+ with his Isuzu like many are here with no problems, not to mention the 600+ boys on only #2 and the really racial ones on NOS with upwards of 800 HP.

I guess we have all made mistakes with the cheapened Cummins and should get Isuzu engine put in.

You can't trust much of what you see over at DP. They will bash you in a "heartbeat". Will never join that site. You only see what they want you to see. : :

Theres brand bashing on all sites. I don't have to read those posts and sometimes that means I do not even go to those sites anymore.
I've always said; "If theres a vehicle stranded on the road no matter the brand; I will stop and make sure all is well."
The loyalty to the different diesels makes the industry a good one to have fun in. :-*

This board is my main CTD board because it seems like there is less bad mouthing and more helping. I have learned much while reading the posts and contribute when I can.

I do not like reading or responding to posts like ones linked to above because it gets us no where to improve our knowledge and have fun. ;D ;D

I test drove all three but bought a Cummins! 8) My horses love the ride of the truck and trailer (no kicking).

Re:The pot calling....

Every time I lose my mind and go over to that sight, I remember how proud I am to own a Cummins powered Ram. One post that interested me was the one where the guy said that after you sort through the BS on the TDR, you can learn a lot of good information. On this site, you don't even have to sort through the BS. On the Diesel Page in question, I don't think I've ever learned anything other than hate and discontent.

Jack, You run a tight ship. Good job.

Re:The pot calling....

And if you go to his pic trail you can find a pic of the engine data plate that states the HP something like 118hp Really guys, go find that pic trail of his and take a look at thet beast of an engine. Man a 3.9 Cummins could tear that thing up. It looks like it shoud be in a Kubota tractor or something

Re:The pot calling....

I read some of their posts and they make the Dodge out to be less than a truck. What I did not read was how the Suzy had accumulated extreme milage to prove themselves or proven in industrial application. I did not see anything about under stressful conditions the cushy soft front end disintegrates and the weight of the DM is partly responsable. What I have read from these guys is drag racing a diesel truck makes an excellent long term puller under extreme conditions-go figure. Confusion Denial Hallucinations just something else to worry about when you get passed by a Dodge pulling his house out to the bush.PK
