General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

Poll: What if Cummins and Dodge separated?

The poll wasn't included in my last post for some reason, so we'll try it again. Just curious what everyone would drive, given the above choices, if Dodge and Cummins split up.

None of the above.

Freightliner/Cummins or DD,
KW/Cummins
Peterbilt/Cummins or DD
Volvo/Cummins

Anything but a F*rd or a Chevy.

Maybe you should include Dodge-mercedes diesel, since that would most likely be what dodge would go to if they ever parted ways with cummins.

Hush your mouth!! I'll keep my old truck if something terrible as that were to ever happen. I mean, figure it, the 1,000,000 miles before I need a rebuild of my Cummins is quite a few years off for me, and I'm sure Dodge would realize its mistake and come back to Cummins by then.

I would do like Samey and run it into the ground then look for something else with a Cummins.
The only way I would consider anything else (other than a Cummins) is if one of the others could prove their reliability, ease to modify, and fuel mileage of the Cummins. That is a tall order to fill and I believe eliminates the V8s for now.
