18-27% is the typical mark up over what the dealer actually paid for the vehicle. As I said, the higher the MSRP, the higher the percentage. You're not going to see a 27% mark up on a $20,000 truck. Get up around a loaded 3500 QC 4X4 SLT with leather, all the bells and whistles, there's some mark up in there. Depends on the MSRP of the truck. For instance, there's a lot more room for negotiation on a 7 series BMW than there is on a Honda Civic.
At 20% off of MSRP, I don't think you're leaving much on the table.
