Old three head Cummins parts

Got one of the old three head Cummins here at work for a back up fire pump. The rubber coupling between the gear drive and the supercharger left loose and we are kinda in a jam to get this thing back. Anyone know where I might find a coupling for this thing? It is an old marine engine.

I know this may sound like I'm coming off as a smart ###, but take the serial # down to your local Cummins dealer or service center. They can get the parts you need.

Yeah, I wish it was that simple. Four Cummins dealers and seven marine distributors have said this thing has been obsolete for 15 years or more. This is a 1950 vintage engine or thereabouts.

Hmmm....
You might be in trouble then!

What model is the engine? Have you tried doing a search in the net for info about this engine? Sometimes, you can find a lead on hard to find parts.

Can you find a CPL number on the engine? Do not know if CPL"s were used that far back, but that is a necessity to get parts for an old 855 C.I. That is a controlled parts list!

That's a museum piece!!! Possibly try applied industrial technologies. (Ball bearing store) They have a selection of drive couplings. You might find one close and get a machinist to modify it to work. Possibly search old truck yards and farmers back fence rows. Good luck
