Skeeter, I hope you meant Mobil Delvac 1300 Super 15w-40?

I use Amsoil 15w-40 Marine Diesel oil (AME) and change every 7500 miles. Cost is around $60.oo for four gallons plus shipping and handling. I buy Stratapore oil and fuel filters from Geno's (4/2/1 kit without air filter).

I'm thinking of switching to Valvoline Premium Blue oil next LOF and buying the oil and filters from Scheid Diesel.

Skeeter,

Rotella and Delvac are both good conventional oils. I use Rotella and it does smell a little bit, but you get used to it. Make sure to use a good filter. Geno does have the best price on stratapore filters.

Just switched to Rotella Synthetic 5w-40 for winter. It's $15/gal but it has made quite a differance in easier cold starts and quieter cold running. Figure it's worth it given the age. Fleetguard filters fromt eh Case dealer for $11./each.

I have always used Rotella T and have been pleased........you can't go wrong with the Fleetguard stratapore filters from Geno's - IMO, they are the best filters you can buy for your CTD.....

Valvoline Premium Blue is Cummin's recipe Brewed by Valvoline. It's what Cummins engines are born with. If I couldn't get some, I'd use Rotella. Fleetguard or Mopar/Fleetguard filters kept it clean.
Twas good for me last four Cummins powered Rams and will suffice for the next one as well.
For the Hemi I'll also use Valvoline. If it's good enough for Cummins to contract with them, it's good enough for the Hemi.
