I'd LOVE to have someone to give us the criteria you guys use to pick what trucks are "in" and what trucks are "out".Being that there are always more than whats put up to vote on,someone needs to let the rest of the membership here in on the decision of what trucks get chosen and what trucks are not.It seems to me since this has began that ALOT of owners here get overlooked due to someone associated with this board having axes to grind with those owners.......Andy

 

The TOM comittee decides the theme for the month and looks thourgh the user galleries here and determines the trucks for the month. This month its midly bombed 2nd gens next month it could be reg cab 1st gens.

 

I went with Bnold, because it looks very similar to my favorite truck.... Lol.

I was in the process of answering your PM to me concerning why your truck had not been chosen yet. However, I let my home life and my time spent at my job get in the way.
The TOM Committee agreed on only three candidates a month when we started using the poll method. Believe it or not, it takes quite a bit of time to sit down and type the code into the poll that provide the clickable links and make it look like it does. At least it takes me a while. I guess I'm slow.
That's pretty simple.
The trucks that show up in the poll are the trucks that we decided to put in the poll for that month.
The trucks that don't show up in the poll are the ones we decided NOT to put in the poll for that month.
You will have to give me a list of all the owners who have been overlooked due to the "Axes to grind" problem because as I stated in my PM to you, the TOM Committee that does the candidate choosing is comprised of two members who have always considered you as a friend and a third member who really doesn't get to participate much due to his job, not to mention that I don't recall him ever mentioning you. I will also add that not even Jack or Lary have ever had anything to do with the TOM or how it is run.
With all this said, I'm sorry that you felt this "Axes to grind" matter had to be brought up on the forum board, but so far you are the only one who has made such insinuations.
I promise you that I will go back and try to figure out why we made the mistake of not choosing you and your truck at least once in the 8 times we have had 2nd Gen 2500's as the category in the last couple of years.
Please rest assured that I will get back with you on my findings and if I can't find a justifiable excuse that makes you happy, I will step down from the TOM Committee and they can get your input on my replacement.

I have been a member since Aug 2001. I DEMAND to know why my truck has never been picked.

Is it because we haven't kept in touch over the years, like we did in the beginning?

Oh yes...and when you can't come up with a good reason why my truck was not picked, please step down, so I can take your spot. That way, I know my truck will at least get into the top 3.
