I bought a new boat Friday and took it out Sat and the truck turned down to stock but it still smokes none stop. The black crap got under the cover and I had to scrub for 2 hours to get it off, so I am gettin a valve to dump it under the truck when pullin the boat, horse trailer don't care but not the boat.

 

Wow.. Hate to hear that. Nothing like scrubbing soot off a new boat. I had some tar stuff (newly covered section of freeway) get on my boat one time. Scrubbing that was a pain in the....

Oh that would be crappy too I think I am gonna get some big mud flaps too my tires stick out about 2 inches beyond my wheel wells.

 

what kind of boat did you get JD? when i was bringing mine home a few weeks ago, i hit a little rain storm. well it rained and rained for a couple weeks it seems and i thought i was never going to get all the smoke off the side of it. i was not a happy camper. right now its been in the shop for 6 weeks to the tune of ~$7500 becuase the outdrive decided to blow up and leave me stranded. luckily i still had beer and wasnt to concerned at the time

It is a 25ft Reinell with a 8.1 in it, I have never drivin a boat until Sat and it was a little nervracking gettin off and on the trailer and dockin it ya know. But I made it through sorry to hear about your moter that really sucks.

i love watching the ramp for all the newbies making little mistakes. some of them wear me out just watching them work so hard when it doesnt have to be. but what do i know...

the biggest advise i give to people new to boating is the hardest part is loading and unloading. the secret is knowing how deep to back the trailer. that can make all the difference and compensating for the current. i give it a few outings and your going to be an ole pro. bring it down to texas sometime and ill buy you a cold beer and let you check out all my hot chicks!!

Well I had no problems really but what is your advise on how deep to put the trailer, and you may laugh but I have been alot of places in this world and haven't seen many places that have women as good lookin than Utah and they are in huge quanities.

 

I back mine down until the back starts to float.... after you back off to dock it... look at the trailer side bunks if you have them and see where the water level is... If you back the trailer into that level or more... it will be no problem load'n it back on... just watch the throttle when you are loading... that is where too much is a bad thing! Center it up and adjust for current and wind and make small adjustments until you have it on the trailer....
If you miss it >>> it is probably easier to loop it and start over rather than trying to back it and restab it on there...
I have to agree with rusty on the Texas chicks! Ya'll come up to Aggieland and check these out... This tiny little lake we have up here is full of them on the weekend!

i think loading is harder than unloading. alot depends on the angle of the ramp. but when you back the trailer down, i want about 12-18" of bunks showing or just barely the tops of the fenders. as for backing it down, ill have it unlatched, be backed down, lower the llower unit and start it, then signal for them to continue on. if the drivers paying attention, they can tap the brakes and help you slide off. the unloading advise is USELESS if you have rollers instead of wooden bunks btw. and i like our women that are not in "huge quanity" remember quality over quanity...

Yeah was down at lake conroe driving through seeing all the power boats being brought in... It's finally summer, need to get my skeeter going... Not a pimp boat and I'm not much of a fisherman, but what they hell... I'll just take my shirt off and act like I'm a BA on my dingy.

Funny thing is I remember one time we were on my friend's grandpa's pontoon boat going to Papas and these dudes had the adacity to try to lure our radom women in onto their Baja, lol... Didn't work, I got a kick out of it watching them go to work on our chicks
