Hello I am new to this site and even more new to diesels. My 97 Dodge Ram was totalled recently and I am looking for a new rig. I have been interested in upgrading to a diesel power plant for some time but since my truck never gave me any trouble I never had a real reason to trade it in...until now. I am interested in getting a newer Dodge Ram crew cab with a short bed, 4wd, and a cummins of course. I figured who better to ask about a Dodge diesel. I really don't want to run out to a dealler to buy a new truck. I have seen several fair priced rigs out there but I don't know which years are better, what to look for and when to run. I would appreciate any and all advice. I prefer to buy a rig between 2002 (old body style) up until a used 2006. Thanks in advance.
