alright i currently have a 2001 f350 cc 4x4 auto. 131k on the clock its been good cept for tranny turbo and whater pump. well im buying a 2006 4x4 quad cab cummins 6 speed on friday in missouri. i dont no anything about the manual tranny or the motor in this truck. what do you think i should look for when buying this truck and tall tail signs i should look for... any help is appreciated thanks. its great to be here

 

I do not know too much about Gen3, but they are pretty solid, I think.
Why are you going alll the way to Missori for this truck?
I would get an inspection done by a local company that can review diesels.
I would also check codes. You could take it to a dealer, perhaps.
They proably have the same track bar issues as Gen 2's, I think.
