new exhaust video idea?

I have seen a lot of clips on youtube of exhausts, but the truck is sitting still or driving by. I tryed to make a clip today of the truck moving. I want to find a way to mount the camera to steady the shot, and get a better view. Let me know what you think. Could eventually be pretty sweet.

yeah, needed some assistance filming. Was thinking of a bracket or something from the hitch, looking sort of forward, things wouldn't go by as fast.

is it just the camera angle changing or is that tailpipe moving in and out.

There is some footage in one of the videos for the DTR, I will have to find it. But basically the guy mounted the camera to a tripod on a trailer behind him. Looked pretty cool as he snaked through the wooded highway. Grey CTD with stacks, F1 stickers... Also one of BigBadDodge with it mounted to the passengers door for a pull, pretty impressive.

I thing a good tripod, some bungie cords and a few test runs might get it for you.

is that a straight 5" or do u have a muffler? I love rowing through the gears with the exhaust drop each shift, it sounds great.

What about using an external high quality mic? Then you can face the camera in any direction, but still get the exhaust sound.

my exhaust is the MBRP 5", no cat, one BIG muffler, about 5" ID, 6" OD.

I made a group of people at a bus stop stand up, then look and see only me, not the bus

friggin NICE! i sometimes do wish i had a manual, love being able to lug the engine a bit as well as the drop and the little "wheeeeew" between shifts.

sounds great even with a muffler. its still quite loud and you dont lose a bit of turbo whistle out the pipe. i guess i always thought youd lose alot of that. you might have my sold on goin a full 5" on mine. and with is sounding so nice with a muffler that would keep the inspection peoples happy if it ever came to that.
