Lets have a safe 2006.
BTW: did that truck have an air bag ?
It is incredible how much energy the front end of the truck absorbed.

Ouch
That has to have been tough, wow. There are times when god is looking over you. I had the same luck when my limp body laying on the ground had a 500 lb brick smash my face (fourwheeler to be exact) Lots of surgery and I still look bad
It's funny how you don't remember what happened, only what people tell you, same with me
"I've lost 38lbs.....but I'm still in good spirits and I'm lucky to be alive."
Also know that, had my jaw wired shut and tube for 4 months. I only weighed 160lbs and I lost 40 lbs, I got so tired of eating.
You'll be back up and bombing a new dodge soon

I've always said "I'd rather be a hammer than a nail".
I guess I need to change that to "I'd rather be the bigger hammer".
The Dodge truck body crumpled as designed, and the mass of his truck might have lessened the impact he was subjected to.
I'd hate to think what the outcome might have been had he been in an Econo-Box.

Man oh man , I ride that road alot in the summer shortcutting it over from H88 to H50 , not long ago we lost a few guys on bikes when a logging truck ran them over.... think he killed six of them in one cross-over the centerline
Wow. Many of the injuries that he suffered are quite severe. But it sounds like he just barely made it out, hopefully without any lasting damage.
I had a rollover wreck in my Dodge about a month ago (there's a thread about it on here somewhere) and my truck wasn't damaged nearly as badly, but it was a total loss nonetheless. Somehow I crawled away from it all without a scratch on me.
I, like the guy on TDR, and grateful for each and every day now.

When people argue with me about the impracticality of driving a full size truck, this here is a good reason! I like being surrounded in almost 8000lbs of truck. That dude was lucky to say the least, but I'm sure driving a full size with a massive chuck of iron in front helped.
