My latest diesel

I love diesels, and would just as soon convert to all diesel. The latest installment- I have used Wheel Horses for years now to mow and do odds and ends, and have become a real fan of them. I had made plans to go buy a NOS horse down in Nashville, but the seller backed out- he knew he would regret selling it, and I couldn't blame him. I went window shopping on Craigslist, and found a clean Kubota B7100 compact tractor. 3 cylinder diesel, 4WD, hydrostatic, low hours, and actually owned by a little old lady!
It is a fine piece of machinery, and a real step up from the Horses. It came with a 5 foot finish mower, which really cuts the time down mowing.

Now, I need to get my two Horses sold, so that I can buy some implements...

Die hard Kubota fan. This is Dads latest after his MX9540 was totaled. Gotta say this. The safety of the models with the ROPS is incredible. My lil bro more than likely owes his life to it.

You could fit another one on the roof...
Nice tractor, and I am very impressed with them.

Is that a B7610? If so, I've got one too and absolutely love it. Perfect tractor for me.

Very expensive. Slade wasnt at fault though. He was legally traveling on the roadway and turning onto the road I live on. All placards in place and proper signals used etc....

Some idiot in a Suburban pulling a trailer hit him. State police estimated his speed at 70+ (55mph zone). Driver admitted to talking on the cell phone and speeding. Stated he never saw the tractor (how in the heck do you miss something that big and that orange).

When the driver hit the tractor, it rolled three times. Dad was in my front yard and saw the whole thing take place. Slade, for God only knows what reason, had decided to buckle up when he got on the highway. Spent three days in the hospital with a fractured cranium and broken collar bone, but no serious or lasting injuries.

Tractor while totaled, survived surprisingly well for a multiple rollover incident. One of the core factors that made Dad go back with Kubota.

Kubota tractors is all we've ever had. Absolutely love ours!

That could've ended much worse, glad he's okay. How bad did the Suburban look?

Totaled. Wasnt pretty. Idiot walked away though.

Funny thing. This happened June 15th 2008. Slade was discharged from the Marine Corps May 31st 2008. Survived two tours of duty in Iraq to come home and almost be killed by a flippin idiot on a cell phone.

Figures.

Yes sir it is, it has served me extremely well. I was thinking about going up a model to the B3200, however after using my friends for a couple hours I decided to keep my B7610.
