I have a dump truck with dual stacks and no mufflers. its a cummins m-11. the stacks are new with 4 inch pipe. the noise is hard on the ears. i want to tame it down a bit. is there any type of small shell muffler with 4 inch inlet and outlet that i could install and hide them behind the chrome shields?

 

There are mufflers available at your local truck dealers, relatively small diameter, 4" that will fill the bill, they look like a huge stainless "Blue Bottle" muffler.

These will calm the sharp crackle, down to a drone, but not near as bad as you have now. been down that road.

Also, it helps to run full height stacks too.

thanks for the reply. i dont have any big truck shops near me. i do have full length stacks with turn outs. they go up and past my cab guard. i thought maybe someone knew of a place on line to buy some.
