Cool

there's a little saying around my neck of the woods "if you've never been stuck, you've never been 4wheeling"

Mud is fun, but it is a pain in the neck to get it all out from underneath later and then there's the having to change your fluids cause of the water that can get in ........but did I mention how fun it is

I tend to get off the road quite a bit, but never have taken my truck intentionally "muddin". I work on a farm down here in Alabama and the mud is thick, deep and sticky. These heavy trucks aren't exactly mud buggys. But I guess thats why I bought a winch.

When I had my shop in Michigan I made a mud track and hole for my son to "play" in. When I worked on dozers or loaders, I had to test them out. Track was about 600 ft with a mud/water hole in the middle. In the spring after the rains the water would get about 4 ft deep in one spot. My son and his friends would have mud fests on weekends. about 8 to 15 trucks would show up. It was a blast. One time when they all left, the next day the county had to send the road grader to grade our paved road. I now live in New Mexico and am starting to go up in the mountains. When you get on top of a mountain and look around is hard to describe, you just have to experience it. There's nothing like it.

well i do a bit of rock crawling, but my rig rides on 2.5ton rockwells and 44s. and i have still managed to get it stuck in the creek behind my house. but you must not be doing much more than playing in a field if your rig has never been stuck.

Only time I ever got stuck was when I let my friend drive with factory tires. Ever since then, I've had all terrains and I've never had a problem. I've gone through 3 foot deep holes and never got stuck. Pulled my gasser friends with mud terrains out. Gotta love 4 wheel drive.

No they didn't, but the cops started to make regular patrols by the house for a while. I also told the guys to hose it off a little before leaving.

Unless there is a law where you live, as long as they get some of the mud off of their vehicles, i dont see where the cops can do a whole lot... my truck is currently covered in mud because i drove past a construction site that has several inches of mud caked onto the road.... i dont see why it would be any different for you.

I am always looking for an "excuse" to go mudding. I hate to tear up the old roads, and a field for no reason! When my friends and I go out I usually have to be smart about it, cause I can go further than anyone else and none of them have anything big enough to pull me out! This truck may be heavy, but with some good tires and all that power it can go through some mud !

I had a next door neighbor that was a cronic complainer. The twp wanted to shut down my shop, my son and his friends made too much noise etc etc.... We had local ordinances for just about everything. We had visits from zoning enforcement all the time and they couldn't actually do anything except tell us to keep it down. After I left the twp created a noise ordinance for less than 56 dcbls or you will be fined. in an attempt to stop dirt bikes and mud boggers. The whole twp got in an uproar so they dropped it. Nothing serious ever happened and I shut down my shop when I decided to move out here after my son was in college.

I use to take my truck back ijnto our woods and do some mudd throwing but after getting the bedsides straightend out and fenders fixed plus a new paint job I stick to the mudd runs. Take a 50 yard section of mudd and make two lanes in it. Put up a set of Drage raceing lights and you can have a ball. Last time I raced I got 3rd and was raceing against trucks and mudd buggies that was doing what they were built for. Its a blast.
