One thing I like about the Premiem blue extreme is it has been tested and endorsed by cummins. But I also think the other brands of oil will do just as good.. You can get premiem blue extreme for a good price at napa. 16$ something a gallon.

Valvoline Premium Blue

As for price, check at the chain auto parts stores like Checker/Kragen/Schuks, I have been getting it there for $10-$12 a gallon. Of course I need more now so I don't know the cost today. I dump my old oil there and get my filters from genosgarage.com

Go though at least two 55 gallon drums a year.
