I think there have been at least a couple more that have reached that point, I read of one back in the Fall of 2001 in the TDR mag.

There was an article in my local newspaper last year about a Montana guy who turned over 1 million on his '95 CTD delivering travel trailers. Engine was rebuilt at 600k but still had the original pump. He used Delo oil the entire time and the same K&N drop-in air filter that was cleaned every 100k.
He was trading it in for a '97 with 100k, the dealer was going to put the 1M mile '95 on display.

There is a member here - RFW i believe - he has well over a million on his 98 12V, and some other trucks with 400K +. So its definitely doable....but more likely in a 12V, IMO.

Actually, there are quite a few million mile Rams out there. I know of two of them in Ohio.

Both are 95s.

I think in order for you to consider a truck a real million-miler it should be running on mostly original parts. Both of these trucks have not had the engine rebuilt and are mostly on original parts. The biggest thing I remember seeing listed as being replaced was the rear differential. The rest was all small stuff.

EDIT: Guess I should have read the article first. The guy in the article is from Ohio. Actually, about 10 miles away from my house. The other guy lives in Xenia.

Last year I met a guy who lives not more than 15 miles from me who had a 90 model 3/4 ton that was 10k away from going to the million mile mark. Said no major engine work had been done. Just usual things like water pumps, belts, lift pump, and the Getrag.

Forgot to add this when I posted before. Last year I changed out a VP44 and lift pump on an FL60 (99model) that was leased out to some express mail carrier. The truck had 900k on the odometer and was on its original VP44. Me and the other mechanics were pretty amazed to say the least
