Mega Cab Fire

Was driving home from work Sunday morning and saw smoke on the horizon... When I got up there I found a '06 Mega Cab fully involved. It appeared that he had ran his stack out the bed through a plastic drop in bed liner and burned that baby to the ground. Sad to see a truck go out that way! Make sure if you’re going to run a stack and have a flammable bed liner but some room between them!!

I drove over 400 miles one time with a plastic tote box on top of my stack pipes one time. I had bought a new couch and put it there just for the ride home and forgot. Remembered it after I had driven for 5 hours on the interstate. I rolled the cover up and it was trashed. It took me a while to peel the plastic back off the pipes. I got lucky though. I had 2 quarts of ATF stored in there and they both melted and leaked out the hole in the bed. I am just glad they didn't catch fire. I don't have to worry about it any more because I removed the stacks a couple of weeks ago. I can't believe how quiet it is now with the muffler back on.
