Made a Huge Mistake

Well, I test drove a new 6.7 today. I was really impressed. In fact, I was so impressed, I turned in an app. to see if I can get a loan to get one.

If I get approved, I'm gonna get a 4x4 quadcab trx4 electric blue pearl. Best of all is I get it 1% below dealer invoice. msrp is like 46,000 and i am getting it for 35,000.

So, hopefully in 6-8 weeks I will finally be able to put my truck in my sig.

BTW......I love the factory jake brake, you can just hear it.

Be prepared to wait a long time before the really good mods come out for it. Hope you get the truck!

Also go to a credit union you will get a much better rate. The dealer will say that they get the same rate but they be lying!

Yeah, I even crawled under the truck to look at the exhaust. It looks like you can remove the muffler and still be okay.

I figure 6-12 months till mods start comming out to disable certain sensors and such

With were I work I have a membership to a credit union and get a 6.9% rate, so I will see what the dealer comes with.

yeah, go to the credit union for sure. When I got my boat loan, the first big bank loan I had ever applied for, my credit union had me approved for $10k at great rates before I had even made it back home from dropping off the application!

And my other credit union was the only lending institution I could find anywhere who would touch refinancing my 15 acres of rural land with a 30 year old mobile home on it.

dang, that is some cheap land! I bought my 15 acres six years ago, with an old mobile home, an older metal shop building 24x80 and a 36x36 metal barn. Mine is not level ground but nice south facing slope and I paid $100k, a bargain at the time, even more so now.

I really need to start going out of state to buy my trucks... $11k off sticker!? I can't get a dealer around here to even come close to that! I finally bought my 07 for $8k off because its the best I could find.

I told them all that Dave Smith offered me $11k off and every time they'd call my bluff and tell me to go to Dave Smith then!

If a dealer is going to be a jerk like that you'd save money flying there and driving back. I know a guy here that's done it twice because he refuses to mess with the dealers in town. I didn't go the Dave Smith, but I went to an out of state dealer and got almost $10k off the sticker.

thats when you say ok thanks, turn around and start walking out of the door They would likely stop you at the door OR call the next day and say we'll reconsider Lot of times they will call back a day later and say we talked it over with yadda yadda and they will do that deal for you. I dont not and will not ever put up with the dealerships shenanigans. I may only be 28 but Ive already bought and sold more vehicles than some people do in a lifetime. Their little games dont work with me

i got the 11k off the price because i work for ak steel and get the supplier discount. it is in stone that i get it 1% below dealer invoice and there is nothing the dealer can do about it. the dealer then gets reimbersed(sp) the money that they lost by d/c.
