Naw, this guy is a local. I see his hunk-o-ford fairly often now, its hard to miss the whistlin' wimp. He doesn't have a draw bar in his hitch, I know the only thing he may ever tow with that thing is a jet ski or two. With my new-found extreme power, I'm waiting my chance to put the fear of cummins in him. I'll show ya what a turbo's supposed to sound like cap'n!

cummins jet

I heard a recent, modded F**D last winter at a customer's and loved that whistle - sounded like my brother's F-18 spooling on the flight deck.

It inspired me to design & build my super BHAF and SS exhaust... it's a max effort mod to give the stock CTD the best breathing possible. Yeah, it does whistle!

Drive-bys always turn heads, and my neighbors still look out the windows to see what the heck a semi is doing out front when the gooseneck is hitched.

Check out my pics!

Well, I got to see the Whistlin' Wonder right up close this morning. Took my truck in for it's annual $1000 brake job, and the Excursion was in there with the hood up. Talked to the mechanics, found out who it belonged to and what he'd done to it. All it has is a BD air filter, 5" exhaust, and a BD downloader of some kind. They called it a "chip". All the mechanics agreed that it was pretty bad though, said it was incredibly fast compared to one guy's stock 06 psd. They all encouraged me to "tap on him a little next time I see him out". I imagine its pretty fast though, but I might blow some smoke on him. I'm sure he'll get the same story on me when he picks up his truck this afternoon, kinda fun to have a friendly rivalry going now. They took my truck for a test drive before they pulled it in the garage, and it did me proud. The mechanics were all smiling and walking around it when I left.

We were camping up near Mt. Rainier when a guy drives by with a Ford PU. The whistle was so loud you could hear him coming from any point in the campground and it was a BIG campground. My wife asked me if the truck was broken or something and should we offer to help. I laughed and told her that we'd have to buy the guy a Cummins to fix his problem. She shook her head and stuck her fingers in her ears.

I don't get the fascination with loud turbos. I like just barely being able to hear mine. I couldn't imagine having to listen to one louder all the time, it would quickly wear on my nerves!

Oh, and my brother's '06 F-350's turbo is a lot louder than mine, and his after cat exhaust makes in sound like his truck has a big air leak!

i seen a thing on ebay a while ago for 13 bucks, it was a whistle for lack of better terms and you simply clamped it on to the end of your exaust pipe. they were made for ricers, but they should bolt onto any pipe, maybe this guy had on of them
