Lost a friend to mods
Lost a friend to mods
How has lost a friend because of mods? I work with a guy who leased a 2500 and returned it way over miles with about $2000 worth of chrome still hanging. When I bought my truck we became very chatty, he was the epitome of jealousy. I was telling him of the low cost mods I made to my truck and he was visibly ******. I was able to laugh it off and walk away, but just barely. He thinks I have bastardized my vehicle, but I have nothing but praise for the info I have learned here so far. No negatives in my opinion.
I guess I would have to classify him as a work aquaintance. You see a guy everyday share a lot of life experiences and you mistake it for friendship. It just amazed me the "ownership" he took in my truck. Don't worry though I wasn't detered one bit. After buying the truck I'm on pretty much a shoe string budget, so I going with the least expensive stuff first. Wonder what he'll think after I've done the tone ring mod!
Most of my "cool stories" date back to my Jeepin' days. And most end in the phrase, "I guess that wasn't the brightest idea I ever had!" I got one such story posted in a thread here somewhere where they were worrying about how loud their exhaust would be. I can dig it up and repost it here if you'd like.

when you said you lost a friend to mods i thought either your friend doesnt talk to you because hes modding his truck, or he died because of the mods to his truck. heh. I sure feel stoopid.

At least you feel like you understand what this post is about. I'm still corn-fused.

if he seriously had 2k or anything close to it in chrome that truck was pretty much ruined.
