Loss of Power
Loss of Power
I just got a new torque converter and tranny rebuild (after 200 miles) on the 48RE in my '68 F250.
When I got the truck back, there are still issues with the tranny, but I have only about half the power I used to have. I had a Smarty Jr level 2 installed and I checked and it was still there, but I reinstalled anyway just to make sure.
The tranny shop said the disconnected the batteries when it arrived, but that the batteries were low (could not start the truck) on reconnect. If the batteries did run down, is there something anything that gets reset or set that I need to look at. It's not hesistating or surging, it just feels like its on level -2. In third gear, when the TC locks up, there is virtually no response to full throttle (when it used to take off so fast it was scary).
