Call your local Cummins power store, ask them where a god place to find one would be.

go to www.dovebid.com and watch for the old frito vans some had the 4bt in them and watch out for what it is bolted to for a trans. some chev some ford. you can use a 6bt adapter to get to dodge. they call there sale "transportation sale # 18 or somthing like that. just had one.

Just bought a 4bt

I just bought a complete Frito truck on "dovebid". You have to watch the postings. There are a lot of nonrunners for sale. Make sure you call the contact listed for the particular truck. Some of the guys will give you some good info. Some appear to be nice trucks on the listings but after a phone call you find out they are not so sweet. The one I bought was supposed to have 14k miles on the motor/trans. I drove it 550 miles home. I noticed an exhaust leak on the way. When I pulled the dog house after arriving home I realized the motor has more miles than 14k. The exhaust manifold to turbo gasket is shot. It is missing most of the nuts that bolt them together. There isn't that much dirt and peeling paint in 14k miles. I found the motor must have hit the crossmember at one time also. The pan is leaking where it was brazed back together. Anyone have an extra 4bt oil pan? Disposing of the rest of the truck can be a big headache. I have about 12 hours in cutting the body up. I am about 2/3 of the way done. The local aluminum recyclers want pieces no larger than 4'x4'. Then I still have to get rid of the frame. There is a guy near St. Louis that parts a lot of them out. He will sell complete pull out drive trains.
