I like how he claims the tow truck is a 24V.

The second unit is nice, but the first, even at $4000 would be out of wack. Look at all the body damage and also the difference in color from the drivers front fender and door to the back of the cab and bed. It has been involved in an accident.

A 10 year old truck with almost 200K miles on it and visible damage like that isn't worth a couple grand. It would make a great project truck for someone who wants a 12V, but not as a first truck for anyone I know. Also being that it was involved in the towing industry I'm sure it was only repaired when it feel apart and preventitive maintenance isn't in the owners vocabulary. Any stand up, legitimate organization that values its image and has insurance would have that truck looking its best at all times. If I ever needed a tow and that thing showed up I would tell them to go home while I called another company.

Very intelligent response. I agree. Interior is SHOT too.

I sold my 95 ram gasser last month and the seat supports had some rust on them, too. Not that bad, but I never had any water in my cab. No rear slider either, that might have let in some water.

I wonder about the towing equipment. I did not see any of it pictured, which makes me wonder if its working, or even there. And it doesn't have alloy wheels, as the ad claims.

A lot of things are wrong in the description.
No 24 valve or extended cab in '95.
I don't think they have any idea what they have.
As far as wear and tear it looks like a work truck to me, not a commuter.

I just looked at it again. Bill, did you catch the heated electric mirrors in the description as well? No mention of the transmission. At 179K miles on the original auto in that kind of service and it is almost surely spent.

By the time anyone gets it and at the very least goes completely through it to ensure it is safe to operate the guy should be giving it away. I'm just amazed at how the bidding continues on that thing. $4494.44 right now and there are still two days left.

Did anyone else notice where it is from? OZ Towing is right in NYC. I wouldn't go near that thing with a 500 mile pole. I'll bet that some of the flood cars from Katrina/Rita will be in better shape than that thing.
