Interesting warranty issue(s)

Put my truck in the shop on Monday for the last round of warranty repairs.
  • AC not cooling as well as it should, temp raising on passengers side again
  • Temp control on dash not working incrementally
  • Water leaking from the passenger's side grab handle
  • Intermittent pop in the RF under braking
  • CD won't eject on command
  • Noise in the driver's door and passenger's side dash

Got the call from the dealer this morning that the the problem with the air is a bad engine fan clutch. It's causing the pressure to raise in the ac, causing a leak at the back of the compressor from a pop off valve. NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY!

The roof leak is from the cab marker lights. NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY!

By the time we had moved through the entire list, nothing was covered! Interesting, I purchased the Maximum Care warranty when I purchased the truck, when it was brand new. After putting the numbers back into the computer and putting me on hold for a brief moment, all of a sudden the fan clutch and corresponding ac repair is covered, imagine that!

Because the roof leak is from the marker lights, they're not covered. I'm currently arguing with Chrysler about that because there is a TSB concerning the roof lights and the only authorized replacements have a base gasket, which the stock ones don't appear to.

last time I had Mama's 06 T&C in for the final time under warenty, they wouldn't cover a split in a leather seat back. And they still won't call me back with a reason why.....

You are kidding, right?

Call your Lawyer, don't play with these clowns.

I would make sure Chryslers zone rep. knows about all of this as well.

OK, here's the end of the day update. Like I said in the first post, after a little more checking, the fan clutch was covered as well as the ac recharge. I called Chrysler's extended warranty folks, that was a joke. I got the run around, then switched to a guy in another department because I mentioned the TSB on the cab lights. They said I needed to talk to someone that handled the factory warranty. I thought I was talking to someone that handled the factory warranty. I called the people who issued the warranty, Chrysler. The next guy was not liking me very much because by this time I was getting a little warm. In both cases, the two people I talked to on the phone were going to have to call me back after they talked to the dealer. Of course, the phone never rang. Lucky for me, tomorrow in a business day as well.

You want me to handle this for you in that special way that only I can?

Two of them were suppose to call me back last Thursday, it didn't happen. Temp control, pop in the front end and water leak still unresolved as far as I'm concerned. I'm getting the crud again so I don't feel like arguing at the moment. It'll have to wait a few more days.
