Idiot Craigslist spammer

I was gonna post up the link to this truck but its already been marked for spam.
I saw the price and the truck and emailed to see what the deal was. Heres the response I got.

Hello,
You made the right choice! My 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 Truck 4x4 Quad Cab Laramie DIESEL is in great shape,no engine problems, damages or hidden defects, clear title, never been involved in any accidents.I'm selling the car at this price because I opened a new retail business one year ago and it's taking more money than we expected..The mileage is 80,340 and the price is $4400.We will use eBay`s protection program for our safety. I just need your full name and shipping address so i can open a transaction(with no further obligation or fees). The truck is located in Kentucky i just moved here with my new job i will ship it from here,I will support all the shipping fees.
Have a nice day!
Helen

This was a clean looking truck. Definitely spam.

I probably flag 10-12 ads a DAY on our Craigslist. Most of it is compact tractors, skid steers, LOTS of economy type cars.

You can pretty much tell when someone is offering a $15K dollar New Holland for $4,500 something is wrong.

When I see ones in Craigslist like that, I Google the title, or the first line of the description.

More often than not, it shows that SAME post/ad on cragslist pages all over the US, and sometimes overseas.

I saw the same truck. It was listed here in Biloxi, and also in Nashville. Gotta love those spammers. I see low hour skid steers for $4000 all the time on there. If it seems too good to be true I would steer clear of it.

Just did 6 more, I'm highly doubting that I can acquire a 2006 Lexus with 32,000 miles for $5,800.

I have some other tips for dead give away scams, I just have to find one. It's a series of words they past down bottom in the ad, it must be so the google search picks them up easier.

Funny, the response also says that they started a new business a year ago and needed the money and then says that they just moved there with a new job. Can't get the story straight so the deal can't be straight either.

Most of the spammers wont post a location either. Or a generalized one, like on the Norfolk, VA CL it will have things like Hampton Roads, Location, or even Craigslist for the location.

Just for fun, try the one in the above ad. rimartor@aol.com Google gave me 7 pages of the same ad, from all over the U.S.

Just ask for their phone number and address in Kentucky. Tell them you will be passing through and will just stop in and give them the cash. Tell them to send you a pic of the title so you will know they have it in hand for the transaction.

If there is no local phone number and the background in the picture doesn't jive with the area you live in (easy where I live) then I assume it's spam and move on.
