Not sure if this a repeat of the same Ice Road Truckers show the History Channel has been showing for at least five years or a new one. From what I've read things have changed radically in the last five years due to climate change. The haul season has been drastically reduced and some of the frozen lakes haven't froze thick enough to allow driving on, roads have had to be built on solid ground.

All I watch are the Discovery, TLC, and History channels.

I saw just the 1 hour special on Ice Road truckers about 2 years ago, but this series looks good. I'll be watching!

My DVR set up too!

There are another couple of programs I have seen about driving the alcan highway, but the ads for Ice Road Truckers looks way different...looks like it's focusing on the extremes and challenges of trucking out in the middle of nowhere.

I have lived and worked on the ice. You can feel a D4 Cat moving when it is about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile away. You can hear a truck coming but can't see it as it gets closer you can see the top of the cab and then it starts to show more and more of the truck as it gets closer.
