General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

What a jerk this guy is! Hey buddy - quit rippin people off!

I agree Ky4wheeler should no longer be allowed to sell stuff on this site. I know I'll keep his name in mind as one to avoid. Does he sell on ebay too, and if so, what's his handle there? Oh, nevermind, I always check feedback before buying on ebay, and if it's not really high (99%), I don't buy. I would imagine his rep has caught up with him on feedback.

This IS exactally the reason you ARE FORCED to use the escrow account stuff when purchasing on the net. I would go to my states attorney generals office, they have the means for you to file a claim against this guy. This is not only fraud and misrepresentation, theft, but if you are in a different state than he is, it's also an interstate issue - that could get him FEDERAL jail time and big fines, etc. I would give him 24-48 hours to reply and take care of business then if that did not happen I would not look back just go for the max the law can get you to teach him a lesson.

As far as his use of this site and using the classifieds, he should be banned. I'm sure the admin here has to be neutral because of thier disclaimer regarding sales and being on your own with them, but there sure seems to me to be a point where they could step in and attempt to help you out. We all read the rules and checked YES to following them.

Years ago, before the fed laws included internet sales, I got burnt by a guy that was out of my state. Then it was next to impossible to take any action, just your loss, so I lost. It would have cost me a small fortune to go to his state and then the process, much more than my loss was, so I just had to eat it. I think today we have so many protections and legal capabilities to make claims and take actions that it would be crazy not to use them. If enough people took action it might discourage those who are dishonest, or at least make them think twice when jail time is the consequence.

What gets me is how this guy still is in "business" operating like that - I'd be too embarrased to continue!

... not to mention finding it hard to sleep at night.

Some days, ya just can't win fer losin'..........

BTW, situations like this are exactly why we won't allow "Group Buys" here.

This just goes to show people how hard and confusing your job really is!
