General Diesel Discussion Talk about general diesel engines (theory, etc.) If it's about diesel, and it doesn't fit anywhere else, then put it right in here.

For the Greenies, it is a religion and no facts need be considered.

If I look at the people leading this movement, it seems that they fall into two camps: a) the socialists/communists who think government is the solution to all problems; and b) those who are in it to make money, like Gore and Mann.

I feel sorry for those who are unable to think for themselves and have a rational, fact based discussion of what might be happening. The greens are far more likely than the skeptics to engage in ad-hominum attacks, which to me is a sign of a weak argument.

One last thing - do you know why Greenland is named that?
They are sheep.... some of us are wolves.

Greenland was named that because the Norsemen wanted everyone to go there instead of Iceland. Iceland is beautiful. Greenland is.... a lot of ice. Pretty smart, if you asked me.

Doesn't anyone have any common sense? I mean common sense? It's one thing to argue that mankind is not the sole cause. But to argue that mankind is not even a contributory factor. Some of y'all are just plain goofy. Yeah, it's all because of the vulcanoes and pigs.

Again, anyone who might be concerned with the environment in which they live and raise their kids must be a socialist commie wackjob in love with big government. In it to make money? There is no bigger economic interest in this than big oil, and they are the ones financing the opposition studies to global warming.

The main slant of the Green article was idling wastes fuel. That is a provable and is true.
Bingo! Even as poorly written as the article is, that was the point. Knock the article all you want. Debate the article on it merits. It's alway conservative M.O. to kill the messenger. Socialist, commie, greener wacko's that need to be taken out behind the woodshed..........
