Talking I love my truck!

Just figured I'd post this..
I used to have a 2000 F350 Powerstroke that I had to about 350RWHP and I sold it to buy my Dodge.. BTW my Dodge with ~275HP still feels stronger than my PSTROKE..

Anyways.. I'm very happy with my purchase.. It sounds better and responds better to throttle input... Seems to have a hell of a lot more mid-range and top end power too!

Sure there's things here and there to fix but hey its got 185k on it! Why expect anything else..

I put a chip/exhaust/intake on an 05 Dmax and sure its fast.. but it still doesn't have that OFF THE LINE kick that my 12V has.. Its just awesome.

Drive by wire really takes the fun out of driving a diesel with a lot of low end response..
Even when cranked up the DMAX seemed to rev slowly when you hit the throttle in neutral.. These 12V's are awesome!

I test drove a 2005 3500 CTD yesterday and she felt like it was breathing through a straw! I told the salesman if I bought it, the first thing I'd do is throw away the stock air box and got to AFE or something along that line.
Then I asked him if he'd like to ride in a 12 valver with some power. Needless to say he was very impressed.

I took the parts guy at the local dealer for a spin. He went

He said he'd never felt a diesel pull that hard.

Unfortunately this hasn't resulted in lower prices.

There's a local used car dealer that brings his stuff to the shop I work at. Granted, it's mostly high mile-er auction stuff with too much undercoating on the fenderwells. Still, he gets a lot of super dookies and I've driven a bunch of them lately. I try to give 'em a fair shake, but even the strong sounding ones are just turds. I did drive a crew cab long bed 4x4 with a 6 speed and felt pretty big and tough, but god did that poor little v-10 fall on its face when I hit 3rd Even my girlfriend knows the look other guys get when I fire the ol girl up---''He just realized he bought the wrong truck, didn't he honey?'' That's my girl. Both of 'em

Bobcat,

Seems to me you need to get those injectors in to spin that HX40 and really feel better about dumping the PowerJoke/PowerChoke/FlowerPoke.....

Wanna,

My parts guys ask me for a ride every time I call. They tell me to wait until lunch or the later evening to pick up my stuff so we can go smoke the neighborhood. They said that the salesmen have even made some deals after a couple customers watched me leave the lot, but I'm a little doubtful on that one. I'll bet they'd think again if they knew how much $$$ went into it after the initial purchase price.
