I hate electronics.....
The only thing wrong with electronics is the lack of proper tools in your tool box.
I have a strong electrical back ground, but am weak in hydraulics. I feel the same way about hydraulics that most feel about electrical.

I deal with digital electronics, electrical-mechanical drive systems in my line of work and I appreciate what can be done with electronics, but I LOVE my MECHANICAL 97 CTD!!!
Too bad the auto tranny is computer controlled...
After all, phrases in our language arise from super reliable mechanical stuff...
"mechanical reliability"
"runs like a well-oiled sewing machine"
"mechanical backup"
etc...
The thing that irks me nowdays, is equipment that USED to be simply mechanical, or dedicated analog(or simple digital) electronics is now done with embedded CPU's and SOFTWARE that becomes unsupportable or non-upgradeable... If the program dies, (or the vendor does!), scrap all the hardware because of software reasons...
What used to be mechanical, analog or simple TTL stuff lasted for 30+ years!
Not nowdays...
