I gots me an Idea.

I was tossing around the idea that I could do something interesting with a big truck. I think it would be neat to build a big truck set up as a survival, hunting, camping or BUG out truck. I was thinking aboot the idea of using a duece and a half, but I think its more trouble with the duece. So, anyone know of any civilian 4x4(AWD, technically) trucks that are set up from the factory for off-road jobs?

Is the ford f700 or the freightliner? Ive looked, but with no luck? So anyone know of any 4x4 medium duty trucks?

If Im not clear enough Ill try to elaborate more.

Well, a guy I know has this:

But I guess it's really not a 4x4, it's still awesome, despite the V10

How about an older international loadstar chassis? Maybe a little big, but you'd be hard pressed to break it...and I happen to have one kicking around

I've got just what you need.. All the benefits of a tractor, 3pt, hydraulics front and rear, locking diffs, with a comfy truck cab. 5.7l diesel is slow but torquey. 46" tires and portal axles don't hurt either. I've had it for 2 years and have yet to get it stuck to the point of needing a pull.

wow i would like to have the second truck. that thing is sweet.

these are nice, except for being Ferd based, and the $216,869 price tag.

That thing is SWEET. Too bad we never get any snow here. I remember living in the mountains of colorado. We had a snow cat parked in the back driveway for big snow days. and we used it, too! It was an old tucker. Loved to play with that thing for sure. we lived right by the ski area and we took it up there a lot since we knew everyone that ran the place back then. Those were the days.

Maybe something like this?

Your choice of 3 on e-bay:

Might need a motor upgrade after you get it.
