I got to play Tow-Truck

So I'm gettin home from work yesterday evening, about 7:00. As I pill into the garage I noticed headlights behind me. Its a gal in RAV4, lost. She's looking for the high school. I give her directions and head back to my garage. As I'm getting my gear outta my truck I hear "clunk". As soon as I head the noise I knew she was in my front ditch. Sure enough I look over and see headlights pointing toward the sky. Mind you, its dark where I live. Not much in the city light thing. And my culverts are for the most part, level with my driveway entrance. So I'm looking for seomthing to pull her out with. I got nothin. The last towstrap I had the former neighbors took when they moved. I laugh as I grab the only thing I could find. A couple of dog runs about 20' long. I back up to Toy and put both "wires" on her and attached the other ends to my tow-hook loops on my hitch. "POP". Now what. Now I'm down to one run. I back up again and run the last run until I have 4 "wires" between her Toy and my truck. While I'm trying to hook this up she keeps handing me her phone to tell the AAA operator where we are. I tell her to get in and we're gonna try this again. I tell her to give some gas to take what little strain off the wire she could. She wasnt listening. "POP". This time I stayed in the throttle. I start to smell clutch and I'm not moving so I know the wire hasnt snapped totally. Next thing I know I'm in the middle of my driveway with a RAV4 attached to me. I unhook whats left of the dog-run and put my truck back int he garage. While I'm doing this, the gal is trying to turn her car around in my driveway. Its 18' wide, but I'm thinking I going to have to pull her outta my yard next as it has been raining here since like November it seems. She manages to get the truck turning around with minimal ruts in my yard and without detroying my sprinkler head for my spetic system (saw it popped up this morning). I've three pointed with my Dakota in my driveway without touching the grass. I tell hew not to leave yet. I grab my Q-Beam and peek under her truck. Sure enough the lower control arm on the rear passenger side is bent pretty good. I tell her not to do any serious stunt driving on the way home (about 30 miles away from what she told me) and be sure to get it looked at the next day. She thanked me, asked me for directions for the 4th time, said "I'm glad your not a serial killer" and left. I have three kids, no time to fit "serial killer" into the schedule.

Nice job...I live in a Frat house, so far I have pulled out 4 cars in our front yard, people pull into our big lot to turn around and they end up sliding on the ice and into the front yard...get stuck and wonder what to do. I let them sweat it out for a few minutes, then walk out and ask them if they need a hand. I actually had one girl get back in her car and lock the doors, after I hooked up to her Trailblazer and pulled her free with her in it, she got out and thanked me, and said that frat boys scared her and she had heard they took advantage of girls...now she knows, and I've taken her out twice since then...who knows what will come of it.

Do you really want to have to say the only reason she dated you is because you dragged her kicking and screaming into the relationship?

Haha...yeah, I actually told her that when I took her to the bar the first night. Her Dad asked me how we met tonight when I met him (for the first time), I started off by telling him that she thought I was going to rape her, but after I dragged her out of the front yard she realized I was a good guy...

A couple of 6-packs later we were both pretty "open" and so far he seems like a pretty nice guy.
